Q.1 Is this PGDM Programme approved by AICTE?
Ans. Yes, it is duly approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Q.2 What is the admission process for this Programme?
Ans. The candidate can apply for admission to this Programme by filling the admission form which is available in 2 ways i.e. through the Institute’s website www.isbmgurgaon.com, it can be directly submitted online by paying Rs.500/- or it can also be procured through post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of “Indus School of Business Management”, payable at Gurgaon. The eligible candidates will be called for Group Discussion & Personal Interview and will be admitted on merit.
Q.3 What are the eligibility criteria for admission in PGDM Programme?
Ans. Candidate should have passed 3 years full time undergraduate programme from a recognized University and must have qualified CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA or any other all India Test.
Q.4 I have not given XAT/CAT/MAT or any other exam. Am I eligible for this Programme?
Ans. Those who have not appeared in any of national level examinations can also be considered for admission based on parameters such as our written test, GD and Personal Interview.
Q.5Do you provide with Foreign Tour during the PGDM Programme?
Ans. We have tie up with San Francisco University, USA. The foreign tour can be arranged and at least 20 students should opt for it. The student has to pay extra charges for such tour on actual basis.
Q.6What is the fee for PGDM programme?
Ans. The total fee for PGDM programme is Rs. 1.6 lacs per annum (including Laptop).
Q.7 What all will be included in the Fee?
Ans.The total fee charged for PGDM Programme includes tuition fee, study material, development charges, examination fees, add-on programs, industrial visits, etc. It excludes hostel, boarding, lodging, food and transport. Fee for Hostel is Rs. 84,000/- per academic year. Hostel facility is Optional.
Q.8 Is it compulsory to have laptops?
Ans. Management Programme requires students to make an extensive use of laptops. It is not compulsory to purchase the laptops from the Institute, but absolutely necessary to have it.
Q.9 Do you have hostel facilities?
Ans. Yes, we have separate hostel facility for girls and boys.
Q.10 When will the classes for batch 2012-14 start?
Ans. Classes for the batch (2012-14) will start from the 1st week of August, 2012 tentatively
Q.11 Does an ISBM student get bank loans.
Ans. Yes. Most banks in India accept an ISBM admission letter and details of Fee for education loan. However, ISBM has its financial partners as well, who guarantee loans to all students who get selected at ISBM. If you get selected, you can study regardless of your financial condition.
Q.12 What is the curriculum and delivery of program?
Ans. ISBM follows trimester system based on a curriculum which is continuously updated. It is developed through consultation with industry and academia. The pedagogy of delivery is case based experimental learning.
Q.13 Which specializations are offered in the PGDM Programme? Ans. The Institute offers the specialization in the following area: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource & International Business. Details are mentioned in the Institute’s Information Brochure.
Q.14 Do you invite faculties from leading B Schools / Industry?
Ans. Yes, we have faculties from leading B schools/Industry who visit the campus as Visiting and Guest Faculty. Some of our visiting faculties come from IIMs, JNU,MDI, FORE and MICA etc.
Q.15 Do foreign faculty from leading business schools/Industry abroad come to take classes at ISBM? Ans. Yes. Overseas Faculty from premier B- schools and Industry visit to deliver lectures on specific topics.
Q.16 What is the quality of library and referral resources of the Institute?
Ans. Our Institute has very well stocked library with not only text and reference books but also standard referral material. A large number of National & International journals, reports, periodicals & magazines are also available in the library. Our library is also a repository of rich source of online databases such as EBSCO, J data and Pro Quest.
Q.17 What extracurricular activities do you have on campus?
Ans. Besides the curriculum, students are exposed to management games, simulations, declamation, personality development programs, industrial visits, sports and cultural activities.
Q.18 What about Summer Internship?
Ans. Every student of PGDM has to undergo a Summer Internship of at least 8 weeks after completion of 1st year. This summer internship is arranged by the Institute in the companies across the country
Q.19 How is the placement of PGDM students done?
Ans. The Institute provides complete placement assistance through training, Personality Development, pre-placement talks, corporate exposure, mock interviews and group discussions. All these activities are handled by a dedicated Corporate Resource Centre. The Institute has tie ups with leading national and international corporate who take initiative for Internship as well as final placements of the students as well.
Q.20 What are job prospects after doing PGDM?
Ans. After completing PGDM Programme, students get opportunity in various National and International companies such as Banks, Consultancy firms, FMCG companies, Logistics Companies, IT etc. To name a few, some of our patronizing companies are HDFC bank, Axis Bank, Zycus, Ambience Life Style, SDV International, Fleetguard ,Standard Chartard, Usha etc.
Q.21 What are the other aspects for which ISBM stands proud of?
Ans. ISBM has very highly qualified faculty members which are actively involved in research and consultancy. They have continuous interface with industry and work on various projects.
